This fine art fair is among my favorites, both for the quality of art found there, the friendliness of  the community, and for its glorious location. We are nested under a beautiful canopy of trees, on the river’s shoreline, with wide vista views that take in the bluffs and open waters.

Visions of Unity is a full ensemble jazz fusion recording, featuring Marilyn Allysum on Piano/Flute/Gu Zheng/Vocals, David Wolfe on Santoor, Charles Fletcher on Bass, and Mike Hurley on Drums and World Percussives.

Rainbow Night is Marilyn’s ambient solo piano album, with Charles Fletcher on bass. The album’s title song is a tribute to Marilyn’s mother and her beloved Maui, Hawaii.

Bamboo bends its arms to the wind,
opening its arms to invite the hummingbird entrance
to the hidden flowers blooming,
sweet.

Here I have depicted an underwater Reef scene in South Maui, where I saw this marvelous seascape that appears much like a landscape, complete with waterfalls cascading down lava and coral reefs, housing octopus, manta ray, and green sea turtles as water’s swirl and keep them safe and unseen.

Diving beneath the surface of

Maui’s pure waters in early morning light,

So much hits the senses

Invoking us to bow at this world beneath worlds…..

The cascading waterfalls thrill to the movement of waves above

Abalone colors sparkle off the lava reef below

All is calm in the moment…

On the upcountry road on Haleakala, feel the full moon enticing lotuses to turn their faces to it’s beloved light, as dreams are woven into the night’s fragrant air.

Purple lotus’s bloom in full moon’s calling

Ocean currents surrender

Transformation rises

to the golden orb of Light…..
